I have spent the last eighteen years applying the visual and critical tools I developed in my Fine Arts education towards a practical and rewarding career in design and creative direction. I would now like to pass on this skillset to a younger generation in the classroom by teaching Art as a means of visual thinking that can be applied both creatively and practically.

Adjunct Instructor, Design & Technology Department. Classes taught included: Digital Animation for the Web, Digital Imaging, and Digital Layout.

Art classes taught to students grades 7-12. Students enrolled in this Summer program were looking for additional instruction, at a higher level, outside of their home schools.

Thomas is a wonderfully diverse school with an energized and engaged faculty. While at Thomas I taught one 2nd Grade Unit in the Fall and grades 1-5 for seven weeks in the Spring. Classes taught include ceramics, painting, printmaking, sculpture and drawing.

Was responsible for multiple aspects of art direction for talbots.com, including: site initiatives, microsite landing pages, mobile art direction, e-mail campaigns, portal (web-based) advertising, and art direction of photo shoots.

Was lead designer for Barnes & Noble’s eReader app, NOOK for Android, as well as lead designer for in app shopping experience, NOOK for iPad. Supplemental design work for NOOK for iPhone, NOOK color and Product Marketing.

Design Director

Led the creative direction for sirius.com and provided strategic and tactical oversight of new creative development. Managed a team of designers and freelance contractors, directed design standards, visual brands strategies, user interface design, and usability strategies.

Senior Art Director

Responsible for all interactive design for coach.com, e-mail advertising, portal advertising, intranet creative and related peripheral design. Provided direction for creative (including animation and special technologies), art direction of internet photography and managed junior creatives.
